The IAMSE meeting offers opportunities for faculty development and networking bringing together medical sciences and medical education across the continuum of health care education. Plenary topics include sciences as the basis of medical practice, scientific inquire and investigation in medical practice and the use of simulation in the scientific education of physicians. The 2013 Program Committee is now accepting proposals for workshop and focus session topics. To submit your proposal, please download and complete the submission form linked to this message. Proposals are to be emailed to Julie@iamse.org no later than October 30, 2012.

16th Annual IAMSE Meeting - Hotel Reminder

The 2012 IAMSE Meeting is just a few short weeks away. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to take advantage of the special rate negotiated for the meeting attendees. This rate will only be available until May 20th. After which time the rate will increase significantly nor will rooms be available as this is a very busy time of year in Portland.

Dear Members of IAMSE,

The International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE) is pleased to announce the call for Poster and eDemo Abstracts for the 16th Annual IAMSE Conference to be held in Portland Oregon, USA from June 23-26, 2012. All abstracts must be submitted in the format requested through the online abstract submission site www.iamseconference.org. Submission deadline is March 5, 2012. Abstract acceptance notifications will be returned by April 1 with rolling acceptances provided for earlier submissions.

This conference will explore issues in the teaching and learning of sciences fundamental to practice in all health professions. The IAMSE annual meeting provides medical science educators a place to meet colleagues from around the world and to receive an intense faculty development experience.
